The first chemotherapy
The treatment journey begins. One of those moments that changes the way you look at life, time and what truly matters.
My story, in brief
From 2006 to running, from marathons to the book, from Pietra Ligure to New York: the thread is always the same. Fall, get back up, find a reason and move again.

The symbol
Before every marathon I shave my head again. Not to remain trapped in 2006, but to send a message to anyone facing a difficult climb today: the future is not written, and there is a strength inside you that you may not know yet.
It is not “I am like you”. It is “you are like me”. In one, five or ten years, you may run your marathon, climb your mountain or achieve the dream that now feels far away.
Life is this: falling, standing up and moving forward. Always.
Timeline
The treatment journey begins. One of those moments that changes the way you look at life, time and what truly matters.
A date that remains. Not as a definitive ending, but as the point from which, little by little, rebuilding begins.
Running begins as a way to recover health, body and confidence. It later becomes a language, discipline, community and a way of giving back.
Nine years after the last chemotherapy, #unpassoallavolta is born, together with the decision to run the Rome Marathon while raising funds.
The first finish line over the full distance. A promise takes shape, and the body becomes an ally again.
Each marathon leaves a mark: Parma 2016, Rome 2017, Florence 2017, New York 2018, Reggio Emilia 2018, Pisa 2019 and Rome 2021.
The Parade of Nations, the Italian flag and the city watching. More than a race: representation, gratitude and responsibility.
Running for Life turns the journey into testimony through presentations, conversations, questions and emotions.
Rome returns as a circle reopening: shaved head, full heart and legs ready to carry a message larger than the clock.
With MR / Data Runner, the podcast, talks and new editorial projects, the path remains open: taking this story further, one step at a time.
